This week we have a broadcast/podcast you won’t want to miss, as eTown welcomes back musician Reed Foehl, along with up-and-coming singer/songwriter and eTown newcomer Kat Edmonson. Reed Foehl, makes his second appearance on the show to preview music from his upcoming release of new material. A Boston native based in Colorado since 1989, Foehl started his musical career as the founding member and front man the worldwide indie folk phenomenon Acoustic Junction.  Since going solo, his music has caught the attention of new fans nationwide through commercial radio airplay and placements for television and film. Kat Edmonson is a buoyant singer-songwriter from Texas whose tiny stature belies a powerful voice.  She makes smart, familiar pop that is steeped in vintage tradition, and delivered with a sound you won’t soon forget.  Our big highlight this week is a visit from UN Messenger of Peace and activist Dr. Jane Goodall, who returns to eTown to be honored as a lifetime recipient of the E-Chievement Award, and to share stories and insights from her lifetime of service. eTown broadcast of “Arlo Guthrie & Reed Föehl”

6/15/11 eTown is pleased to welcome back legendary folk artist Arlo Guthrie for a fifth time. It’s been over a decade since Arlo last visited so we’re pretty excited to have him with us. He’ll share hand-picked selections from more than 40 years of musical exploration, plus plenty of stories -as only Arlo can tell them. Later in the show, Reed Foehl, a Colorado-based singer/songwriter and a storyteller in his own right will also join us. Reed was formerly with the popular band Acoustic Junction; in recent years he has struck out on his own solo path. This week’s E-Chievement Award goes to a California woman who ‘paid it forward’ with remarkable results. It’s going to be one heck of a show, full to the brim with great music and conversation.
